What Is Professional Holiday Light Installation?

A fixed-price, turnkey service that handles every step of your holiday display.

Professional holiday light installation is a turnkey service that covers design, installation, commercial-grade materials, season-long maintenance, takedown, and storage — all delivered by a licensed and insured crew on a fixed-price contract. Unlike DIY, you never climb a ladder, never store tangled strands in the attic, and never pay for replacement bulbs mid-season. When a strand fails during a December ice storm in Hartford County or a salt-air gust damages a display in Stonington, we come fix it at no extra charge.

Connecticut presents specific challenges that make professional installation the right choice. The Gold Coast has deed restrictions and historic district overlays in Greenwich, Darien, and New Canaan that require careful design compliance. The Litchfield Hills have 70-foot specimen oaks, sugar maples, and hemlocks that demand lift-truck access and certified arborist supervision. The Shoreline — Madison, Guilford, Old Lyme, Stonington — demands IP65-sealed marine-grade strands because salt air corrodes consumer-grade lights within a single season. And across the Capitol Region, 18th-century colonial homes with brick facades, slate roofs, and mature hardwood canopies benefit from experienced crews who know how to attach without damage.

Our holiday light installation service covers residential homes, commercial storefronts, corporate campuses, hotels, hospitals, HOA common areas, restaurants, and municipal streetscapes. Every installation uses professional C9 or M5 LED strands, weather-rated extension cords, commercial-grade timers, and no-damage plastic clips — no nails, no screws, no staples, no adhesives that damage gutters or siding.

The Holiday Light Installation Process

Six steps from first call to January takedown — predictable, documented, stress-free.

1. Consultation & DesignOn-site visit, measurement, and design consultation. We map roofline linear footage, tree diameters, landscape features, and discuss color palette. You get a written fixed-price quote within 48 hours — no pressure, no hidden fees, no design consultation charges.
2. Materials PrepWe source commercial-grade C9 or M5 LED strands in your chosen color, weather-rated extension cords, timers, and no-damage clips. Custom lengths pre-cut to your roofline. Materials belong to us — you do not purchase anything separately.
3. InstallTwo-person insured crew arrives on your scheduled date (typically October through early December). Installation takes 2–8 hours depending on property size. We test every circuit before leaving and photograph the finished display.
4. Season MaintenanceUnlimited maintenance visits throughout the season. Storm damage, bulb failures, timer issues, strand-outs — call or text and a crew comes within 24–48 hours at no charge. Major regional weather events trigger proactive visits to front-of-home displays.
5. TakedownScheduled January 2 through January 31. Same two-person crew removes all lights, clips, cords, and timers. Zero trace — no holes, no residue, no damaged shingles. Clips are recycled; strands go to our facility for inspection and storage.
6. Storage & Return Next YearYour lights are inspected, coiled, labeled with your address, and stored free for renewing clients in a climate-controlled facility. Next October the same strands that fit your home this year reinstall on the same runs — no re-measuring, no surprises.
