Frequently Asked Questions
Residential Christmas light installation in Connecticut typically ranges from $599 to $2,800 depending on home size, roofline length, and design complexity. Small single-story homes start around $599. Two-story homes with full roofline, windows, and landscape lighting average $1,400–$2,200. Large estate homes with multiple architectural features and specimen tree wrapping range from $3,000 to $8,000+. Every quote is itemized and includes materials, installation, season-long maintenance, and January takedown.
Most packages require a 25% booking deposit to secure your installation date. The deposit is fully refundable until 14 days before your scheduled install. Final balance is due on installation day. We accept credit card, ACH, and business check for commercial accounts.
No. Every quote we issue is a fixed-price quote that includes materials, labor, season-long maintenance visits, takedown, and basic storage. The only add-ons that are optional and clearly marked are extended storage (if you sell your home mid-season), custom color programming for permanent systems, and emergency weekend-response maintenance. There are no fuel surcharges, no lift-truck fees, and no 'design consultation' fees.
We recommend booking in August or September for the best availability. Our installation season in Connecticut runs from early October through mid-December. Popular Thanksgiving-ready slots in Fairfield, Hartford, New Haven, and Middlesex counties fill by early October. If you book after Halloween, we guarantee a pre-Christmas install but can't always hit your preferred calendar date.
Yes. We continue installing through mid-December, subject to crew availability. Last-minute bookings in December typically install within 5–10 days of deposit. We prioritize commercial clients with events and residential clients with scheduled holiday gatherings.
We serve all 8 counties of Connecticut from our Stamford headquarters with regional crews covering the Gold Coast, Capitol Region, Shoreline, and Litchfield Hills. Our most-booked service areas include Greenwich, Darien, New Canaan, Westport, Fairfield, Ridgefield, West Hartford, Avon, Simsbury, Farmington, Glastonbury, Madison, Guilford, and Old Saybrook. We also install across Litchfield, Middlesex, New London, Tolland, and Windham counties — just mention your town when you call.
Yes. Fairfield County is our highest-volume region. We regularly install in Greenwich, Darien, New Canaan, Westport, Weston, Wilton, Ridgefield, Easton, Redding, Fairfield, Trumbull, Monroe, Newtown, Brookfield, and New Fairfield. Our Stamford headquarters keeps response times tight for Gold Coast estates and shoreline properties during peak season.
Absolutely. We handle Stamford high-rise balcony displays, Norwalk SoNo historic townhouses, and Bridgeport commercial storefronts. Downtown and urban-core installations use our dedicated commercial crew for tight street access, permit handling, and after-hours install windows for retail districts.
Yes. We install in Madison, Guilford, Branford, Clinton, Westbrook, Old Saybrook, Essex, Old Lyme, Lyme, Waterford, East Lyme, and Stonington (including Mystic). Coastal installations use IP65-sealed commercial strands to resist salt air corrosion, and we schedule around tide-sensitive private beach access where needed.
Yes. Our Litchfield Hills crew covers Litchfield, Washington, Kent, Roxbury, Salisbury, Sharon, Cornwall, Warren, Morris, Bridgewater, Woodbury, and New Milford. We handle estate properties, second-home winterization, and specimen tree wrapping on wooded lots typical of the region.
Yes. We service West Hartford, Avon, Simsbury, Farmington, Canton, Granby, Suffield, Glastonbury, Wethersfield, South Windsor, and surrounding towns. Our Capitol Region crew handles these routes with same-week response during the season, including historic Victorian homes along Main Streets and newer suburban developments.
We provide all commercial-grade LED lights, clips, timers, extension cords, and mounting hardware as part of every package. Everything is included — you never purchase lights separately. If you have existing decorations you love (a specific wreath, garland, or heirloom ornament), we can incorporate them at no additional cost.
A standard residential Christmas light package includes on-site design consultation, all commercial-grade C9 or M5 LED lights, weather-rated extension cords, timers, professional installation by insured crews, unlimited maintenance visits during the season, scheduled January takedown, and optional free storage until next season.
Yes. We install permanent holiday lighting systems (Trimlight, Gemstone, Jellyfish, Oelo, and similar) that stay mounted on your roofline year-round. The aluminum channel is low-profile and nearly invisible during the day. A smartphone app lets you switch between millions of colors and patterns for Christmas, the Fourth of July, Halloween, sports teams, and everyday accent lighting. Learn more on our permanent lights service page.
Permanent holiday light installation in Connecticut ranges from $4,500 to $12,000+ depending on roofline length, chosen system (Trimlight, Gemstone, Jellyfish, Oelo), and architectural complexity. Most homes average $6,500–$8,500. The system pays for itself within 2–3 seasons compared to annual seasonal install/takedown. Systems carry 3–7 year manufacturer warranties.
Yes. Outdoor tree decoration is one of our most-requested services — we wrap trunks, fill full canopies, install uplighting and starburst displays, and handle everything from 6-foot ornamental trees to 80-foot estate specimens. See our Christmas tree lighting page for pricing by tree size and styles (wrapped, canopy, uplighting, starburst, icicle, net).
Yes. Removal is included in every package and runs January 2 through January 31 on your scheduled date. Lights are labeled by home section, transported to our climate-controlled facility, and stored free for renewing clients. Standalone removal-only service for displays installed by other companies is available for a flat fee based on roofline length.
Your lights travel to our Connecticut storage facility where they're inspected, coiled, labeled with your address, and stored in climate-controlled crates. When October rolls around, the same lights that fit your home last year reinstall on the same runs — no re-measuring, no re-purchasing, no surprises on install day.
Yes. We carry $2,000,000 general liability insurance, full workers' compensation coverage, and commercial auto insurance on every vehicle. Certificate of insurance (COI) is available upon request for commercial clients, HOAs, and property managers who require it before installation. All Connecticut municipal and permit requirements are handled by our office.
No. We use professional plastic clips designed to attach to shingles and gutters without nails, screws, staples, or adhesives. Nothing punctures your roof. At takedown every clip comes off cleanly. We carry a written no-damage guarantee — the rare time a clip fails, we repair at our cost.
Yes. We're familiar with most HOA rules in Connecticut — Heritage Village (Southbury), Oronoque Village (Stratford), The Villages at Mystic, Redding Ridge, and other planned communities. We ensure our design complies with height restrictions, color palettes, and installation windows. For commercial and HOA common areas, we handle the approval paperwork directly with the management company.
Call or text us. Every package includes unlimited maintenance visits — storm repairs, bulb replacements, timer issues, and strand-out troubleshooting are all covered at no extra charge. Our response time during peak season is typically 24–48 hours. If there's a major regional storm, we prioritize based on visibility impact (front-of-home displays first).
